Hospital Pharmacist

I helped in the digitisation of the prescribing process in University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). Hand-written prescription was one of the contributing factors in medication errors. Digitisation of the process reduces the risks of debilitating errors, while the uniform fonts increases the efficiency in instruction verification and error-spotting. We managed to cut the waiting time for 90% prescriptions to below 15 minutes.

I cooperated with my colleague in UMMC to ford through the hardship before, during and after COVID-19 pandemic.

Community Pharmacist

U Pharma Genting Highlands

I helped a community pharmacy, U Pharma Genting Highlands to survive the COVID-19 pandemic, and served the local and foreign communities staying in and/or visiting the highland tourist location. Turning the balance sheet from red to black is good enough, but I take pride in taking care of the urgent needs of my patients.

I setup a vending machine in Tower 3, First World Hotel, Resort World Genting, in order to cater some urgent needs outside of the pharmacy opening hours.

I have worked closely with Mr Jim Khong to learn, coordinate, and train Polling Agents and Counting Agents since the first General Election faced by Malaysian Democratic United Alliance (MUDA).

I have worked closely with MUDA’s candidates, including Ir Al-Hafiz Ikhwan, Cikgu Rahayu, Dr Siva Prakash and Mr Lim Wei Jiet in translating, copywriting and designing campaigning materials. Being fluent in at least three main languages, ie Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin Chinese and English gives me the advantage to work with media workers.
