About RPh Loh 羅藥師

My official name is Loh Chuan Tuck 羅詮淂. The title RPh stands for ‘Registered Pharmacist’, that can only be used by maintaining the annual practising certificate (APC) and working as a pharmacist in Malaysia. Since I am holding a valid licence and practising certificate, there is a high standard and a set of ethics that I have to hold high as a healthcare professional.

I graduated with Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from University of Otago. I spent five years as a Malaysian in New Zealand, feeding with JPA scholarship. Those are the years I grown into a patriot and opened my eyes to the world.

After graduation, I spent six months teaching in SMK Taman Desa 2 as a relief teacher, for Bahasa Malaysia, Pendidikan Seni and a few other subjects. This is my first experience as a teacher instead of a student.

Then I finally put my degree to use. I spent the next seven years working full time as a hospital pharmacist in University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), experienced in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, also sterile preparations and medication delivery services.

I am not satisfied with the limitations as a civil servant. Chasing for higher income and more freedom, I decided to quit government position, picking up the role of a community pharmacist, with politician at the side.

Over the years, I have involved in various initiatives and projects during my career as a pharmacist, and activism as a Malaysian liberal democratic politician. Below are a few links to showcase my ‘achievements’ so far. Thank you.

I am a liberal politician based in Rawang, Selangor.
I worked as a healthcare frontliner before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reading is one of my favourite past times, hence I spent a lot of my income in collecting books. I keep a large portion of my collection in Emerald Library, a privately-funded community library.
